Congressman Chris Van Hollen on Thursday’s Vice Presidential Debate

Congressman Chris Van Hollen lays out the choice that Congressman Ryan faces on Thursday when he debates Vice President Biden. Ryan can stand by the extreme positions he and Governor Romney hold, like turning Medicare into a voucher program that ends the program’s guaranteed benefits for seniors. Or he can flat-out deny the existence of these promises, as Governor Romney did in last week’s debate when he denied their plan to cut taxes for the wealthiest few at the expense of the middle class — a plan they’ve touted for months.

The Vice President on the other hand will do what he does best: tell the truth and talk directly to the American people about the concrete vision that he and the President share to build the economy from the middle out.

If we ever needed to vote & vote DEMOCRATIC, we sure do need to vote DEMOCRATIC now. For us (Black America) the right to vote is not just a Constitutional matter but a right borne out of struggle, out of sacrifice and in some cases out of death. Think for a moment where we are in time and you will understand why: ”If we never ever needed to vote DEMOCRATIC, we sure do need to vote DEMOCRATIC NOW!!”
