Presidency of Barack Obama

America has never been about what can be done for us. It’s about what can be done by us, together, through the hard and frustrating but necessary work of self-government. That’s the principle we were founded on.”

ObamaCares helps millions of Americans. Thats the bottom line and thats all that matters, Americans now have health care coverage. Everything else is a moot point. Thank you Tea Party Slayer for this post.

See Link Above – Health Coverage a ‘Gift’ to Ourselves

One of the more curious “gifts” in Mitt Romney’s list of ways Barack Obama allegedly bought off voters was letting young people up to the age of 26 stay on their parents’ health plan. It was a gift, all right, a gift to America.

How so? Consider this finding in a RAND study on whether employer-based health insurance is a barrier to entrepreneurship: The rate of new business formations jumps at or around age 65 (particularly in the month that the person turns 65). What happens at age 65 is that Americans qualify for Medicare.

The authors of the study (Robert W. Fairlie, Kanika Kapur and Susan M. Gates) found the spike in business starts by those around 65 to be the purest evidence of “entrepreneurship lock” — the notion that many would-be entrepreneurs stay stuck in…

Happy Birthday Vice President Joseph Robinette “Joe” Biden, Jr.

By Jueseppi B.

A very happy 70th birthday to Joseph Robinette Biden, Jr., a dedicated public servant for forty years who I think we can all agree, no matter our politics, that we hope remains in his current position for the next four years followed by President Of The United States for 8 years.

Thanksgiving Decision: Cobbler or Gobbler?

On Wednesday, President Obama will pardon the 2012 National Thanksgiving Turkey and this year, for the first time ever, the American public will get its say. People all across the country are flocking to cast their vote.

Born on the same day on a farm in Rockingham Country, Virginia, Cobbler and Gobbler may look alike, but they’re no birds of a feather. Cobbler craves cranberries, is known for his strut, and enjoys the musical stylings of Carly Simon. Gobbler, a patient but proud bird, loves to nibble on corn and enjoys any music with a fiddle.

Which of two turkeys will be named the 2012 National Thanksgiving Turkey? Go to the White House Facebook page and “Like” and “share” their post to cast your vote. No matter what choice you make, both birds will enjoy a happy life at George Washington’s Mount Vernon Estate and Gardens after the ceremony, but only one can be the National Thanksgiving Turkey.

So help us choose:

McCain is senile and vindictive over his 2008 ass whooping at the hands of Barack Hussein Obama.

The Raw Story

On Monday night’s edition of “The Rachel Maddow Show,” host Rachel Maddow discussed how Republicans are doing themselves a disservice by allowing Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) to be their de facto leader and spokesperson on foreign policy.

Maddow began the segment by discussing President Barack Obama’s historic visits to Myanmar and Cambodia, the first time a sitting U.S. president has ever visited those countries. However, because of the pressing nature of events in the Middle East, Obama spent most of his press conference in Thailand, the third stop on his Asian visit, discussing Israel and Gaza, where tensions have flared over the last week.

“When you are the president, the presidency travels with you,” she said, “and when international crises happen, you weigh in, no matter where you are.”

The president, our closest ally Britain and much of the world are…
