I don’t know much about the man…as a man or a coach…but somebody should have removed this kid from the game, especially after it was clear the Redskins were out of this game.
Now his career is in jeopardy.
The next guy that needs to be fired is Mike Shanahan for keeping this kid on the field when his knee not only rendered him ineffective in planting his foot to throw or run, but made him vulnerable to a much more serious injury, which, as I understand it, he incurred.
I watched that game. I love watching this kid play. But no way should he have been in there with his knee in that condition… and sure enough… it became much worse. Just a criminal job of coaching.
I agree, I watched that game as well…and he was ineffective because of the injury. Now lets hope, pray and chant that his career is not over or altered because of this fool ass move from Shanahan.
If Bill Belichick had this kid, there is no way in hell we’d see him running the option. Let alone running it with a suspect knee. What makes the kid special as a QB is his vision, his guts, and that processor between his ears. The whole idea is to PROTECT him. I’m not even a Redskins fan, and I’m still pissed off about it.
