NRA Ad: STAND AND FIGHT

NRA (National Rifle Association)’s New Campaign Ad Calls Obama “Elitist Hypocrite” For Having Secret Service Protection For His Children.
The NRA are liars and hypocrites! They sure liked gun control when it was the Black Panthers baring their arms to defend themselves. 68% of murders in the US are committed with a firearm. If we keep going at this rate, guns will be the leading cause of non-medical death in two years.

NRA (National Rifle Association)’s New Campaign Ad Calls Obama “Elitist Hypocrite” For Having Secret Service Protection For His Children.
Don’t all Presidents have this for their families? %&^(*&@!
This is just ridiculous – some will say & twist anything to please their pea-brains.
Ms. RoSy…anytime billions of dollars are involved, you can expect common sense to be forgotten.
NRA add sound reasonable to me! Stating only facts. Look at the record. 0 Presidents children shot when protected. 27 died not protected.
If I have to explain to your dumb ass why the NRA ad is unacceptable, you’re just too stupid to be here, Mr. Tony. Now, please go play in traffic.
Face it,when you can’t get to the man,go after the wife or children like most cowards do.
Children are off limits, especially minor children.
A comprehensive and pragmatic set of orders. If they get the assault rifle ban through congress, so much the better.
Increasing regulatory discretion on firearms held by citizens is fine by me. It’s the bigger picture of our armed and dangerous society that has not been mentioned in regards to firearms.
The Second amendment does not specify the right of Law Enforcement to be armed with military style weapons either. The militarization of Law Enforcement as a response to drug problems was a bad idea that has led to the death of far more innocents than all of the mass murders in history combined and squared. That needs to be part of the conversation.
As with the FBI during prohibition and the subsequent war with organised crime, You arm your law enforcement agencies to combat the arms used by law breakers. The bad guys carry automatic & semi automatic weaponry so your good guys need to upgrade to combat the weaponry of the law breakers.
The problem, in my mind, is outlaws being better armed than the law. Can’t send cope out with sling shots while drug dealers have Uzi’s.
I say send ‘em all out with rocks & Louisville sluggers…take everybody’s guns.
Can’t massacre 27 people with a baseball bat
Sasha and Malia’s Daddy is having his say now. As you know, I’m somewhat ambivalent about the real efficacy of “Gun Control” for reasons that seem a little to abstract for most folks But I give the president props for having the courage to go forward with an effort to try and do something about all of this violence. It can’t hurt to try it and see where it leads.
Everything on this list, which was signed today by Barack, is common sense:
Today, the President is announcing that he and the Administration will:
1. Issue a Presidential Memorandum to require federal agencies to make relevant data available to the federal background check system.
2. Address unnecessary legal barriers, particularly relating to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, that may prevent states from making information available to the background check system.
3. Improve incentives for states to share information with the background check system.
4. Direct the Attorney General to review categories of individuals prohibited from having a gun to make sure dangerous people are not slipping through the cracks.
5. Propose rule making to give law enforcement the ability to run a full background check on an individual before returning a seized gun.
6. Publish a letter from ATF to federally licensed gun dealers providing guidance on how to run background checks for private sellers.
7. Launch a national safe and responsible gun ownership campaign.
8. Review safety standards for gun locks and gun safes (Consumer Product Safety Commission).
9. Issue a Presidential Memorandum to require federal law enforcement to trace guns recovered in criminal investigations.
10. Release a DOJ report analyzing information on lost and stolen guns and make it widely available to law enforcement.
11. Nominate an ATF director.
12. Provide law enforcement, first responders, and school officials with proper training for active shooter situations.
13. Maximize enforcement efforts to prevent gun violence and prosecute gun crime.
14. Issue a Presidential Memorandum directing the Centers for Disease Control to research the causes and prevention of gun violence.
15. Direct the Attorney General to issue a report on the availability and most effective use of new gun safety technologies and challenge the private sector to develop innovative technologies.
16. Clarify that the Affordable Care Act does not prohibit doctors asking their patients about guns in their homes.
17. Release a letter to health care providers clarifying that no federal law prohibits them from reporting threats of violence to law enforcement authorities.
18. Provide incentives for schools to hire school resource officers.
19. Develop model emergency response plans for schools, houses of worship and institutions of higher education.
20. Release a letter to state health officials clarifying the scope of mental health services that Medicaid plans must cover.
21. Finalize regulations clarifying essential health benefits and parity requirements within ACA exchanges.
22. Commit to finalizing mental health parity regulations.
23. Launch a national dialogue led by Secretaries Sebelius and Duncan on mental health.
Not one thing is something that should be, or needs to be, debated.
The list is perfect. It is broader in scope than the wildest hopes of many progressives, according to Rachel Maddow. Historical. The only think I would add down the road is a requirement that gun owners have insurance. Car drivers are required to have insurance for liability in of another driver they hurt or kill while driving.
By putting the children in the mix, POTUS will definitely be focused on them.
This legislation is sweeping and comprehensive in it’s effectiveness. I am so proud of this man and his way doing business.
