A 15-year-old boy is accused of using an assault rifle to kill his pastor father and other family members in their home last night, police have said.
The suspect, who was identified as Nehemiah Griego, was arrested shortly after the shooting at the Albuquerque, New Mexico, home.
Inside, police found the five victims – a man, woman, two girls and a boy – who were each shot multiple times.

The church confirmed Mr Griego’s death to MailOnline on Sunday.
The names of the other victims could not immediately be determined.
Investigators also were seeking to determine who owned several guns that were found at the home, one of which was a semi-automatic military-style rifle.
The juvenile suspect was charged this morning with two counts of murder, and three counts of child abuse resulting in death, according to the station.
Each victim was shot multiple times, authorities said.
Authorities would not reveal any details of their talks with the alleged gunman.
The tragedy comes just over a month after gunman Adam Lanza slaughtered 20 schoolchildren and seven women – including his own mother – in Newtown, Connecticut.
Lanza, who killed himself as police closed in on him, was armed with an AR-15 assault rifle.
The massacre ignited a fiery debate on gun control and resulted in President Obama’s push last week to ban assault weapons and intensify background checks on those purchasing guns.

Police say a teenage boy fatally shot two adults and three children inside an Albuquerque, N.M. home with an AR-15-like weapon Saturday night.
Bernalillo County sheriff’s spokesman Aaron Williamson told the Associated Press the boy was arrested and booked on murder charges. His name has not been released, but Albuquerque’s KOB-TV reported he is 15 years old.
The victims’ names have not been released, nor has the suspect’s motive or connection to them. Williamson said investigators were working to determine whether the victims were related. Two of the children were girls and one was a boy, according to the New York Daily News.
Williamson told the Daily News several guns were found in the home and used to commit the slayings. Police were seeking to determine who owned the weapons.
“We do know there was more than one weapon used in the crime, and it appears that one of them was a military-type assault rifle similar to an AR-15,” he said.
The teenager was booked on two counts of murder and three counts of child abuse resulting in death, according to the AP.

This happened just down the road from my house. Semi-rural. A mix of all kinds of people, socioeconomic levels, ranches, farms, and normally very very peaceful. In fact, it was rather odd… I live close enough to hear sirens, as I’ve heard them on one of the main thoroughfares which is a bit further away. And did not hear one peep that night. It wasn’t until I saw it on the news did I even realize my neighborhood had been closed down.
We still have no clue as to why he did this. But they will be trying him as an adult, which I agree with. He killed innocent children. He should not walk free as soon as he turns 21.
Yes….he should be tried as an adult, when you do adult crimes, why try you as an adult? This was not widely reported, I looked and looked for the main stream media barrage of updates to this shooting…..nothing.
I am sick & tired of Americans who defend weapons of mass killing in this country.

Very interesting…. most of time liberals could care less about pastors. But when it suits their cause they jump all over it like dogs on a bone. Let me guess? You guys are for same sex marriage and abortion. What about the millions of children murdered by abortion every year. Tell you what… you stop killing unborn children and I will gladly give up my gun for a straight across trade. As well as millions of others who feel the same. Of course I would like to at least keep my 6 shooter to protect my family as they did in the old days when everyone else had the same type of gun. You liberals don’t really care about life otherwise you would stop murdering unborn children. It’s really plain to see for us who see the truth.
This is why I say every defender of guns & weapons needs to be shot with an assault weapon….get a first hand experience.

That’s right, I had commented about this shooting on another one of your posts. So this is what ol’ Jim-boy had to say back? Meh… I just consider the source. Funny thing is, the fact he was a pastor didn’t come out until at least 24 hours after the shooting had been reported. Well, at least I didn’t hear about it until then. He’s just another fool that thinks people want to take away all their guns since he’s asking to keep his ol’ western-style 6-shooter. Not one state, nor the Fed, has brought forth any bills as such, nor even uttered one word about taking away all firearms. All most want is to removed weaponry that is designed for military and killing people from the streets and hands of civilians. What will the gun-crazies want next? A tank? After all, it is a type of weapon that shoots.

Why would someone shoot a pastor, and why would Adam Lanza kill 6 year olds? For the same reason – they were both raped by clergy when they were children.
Here’s a motive for Adam Lanza’s massacre – Adam was raped by a local, convicted Catholic priest, Fr John Castaldo, when Adam was 6 years old, and was taking revenge against other 6 year olds. Here’s the verified evidence:

It can’t be proven yet, but it is the best explanation yet for why Adam would want to take revenge against other 6 year olds, since no one protected him when he was 6 years old.
