When I was little and my birthday was coming up, my mother would rent a beach house for the weekend.  I can't remember the gifts I received or the party with family and friends. However, I do remember my mom waking me up at dawn and how we'd sit on the balcony and watch the sunrise and talk.  It's moments like that I will always treasure, and I'm really lucky to have such a strong relationship with my mother, and to have her in my life.
