That averages out to 29 people a day. On Christmas, 30 Americans were killed by guns. On New Year’s Day, it was 58. On Martin Luther King Day, 28. Last Thursday was a good day — only 13 Americans were shot to death that day.

  1. How incredibly moving. I have such respect for the Giffords.
    I tried to comment on your post re: which race gets more welfare benefits. I set the computer on scroll in your comments section. I washed the car, the dog, and the the cat, and returned and the scroll still hadn’t reached the bottom of your comments section!
    So I’ll say this here. I don’t need to read the article to know that caucasions garner the most subsidies, tax breaks, coporate and other “welfare,” across the economic spectrum.
    Disgusting when people squawk about welfare recipients. The biggest welfare recipients are corporations and wealthy people.
