Is the "Drone Memo" really about drones?

We can debate the long-term policies on individual military targets and associated killings but let's not allow emotions to dictate the focus. It appears, once again, drones by virtue of their name are being lumped into a broad, longheld set of policies set to deal with targeting individuals or groups who pose significant threat to the US or civilians around the world.

Drones were 1st used in 2001, and have been used by every past caucasian President. Funny how it is all of a sudden an issue for THIS BLACK AMERICAN President to be doing the exact same thing the other caucasians Presidents did during times of war.

  1. I am glad to read this, because the rhetoric surrounding drones has been getting creepier and creepier. It is good to read something that is obviously more balanced.
