Yes, that Julia Child.
Long before she was the doyenne of French cooking in America, Julia was a spy.
She worked for many years at the Office of Strategic Services (OSS), the precursor to the CIA. Throughout World War II, the OSS ran America's intelligence operations and controlled a network of spies around the world.
She ended up as an intelligence officer because she was too tall to enlist in the regular military.

Um… we’re “Women,” not “Girls.” It isn’t Girl’s History Month, JB. That is like being called a “Boy,” when you are a man.
If you dislike the name, take it up with the “girl” who posted this, I reblogged this from “her” blog. I know what I am, so being called a “boy”, does not bother me in the least. When a person is comfortable with who they are, nothing, including labels, is an issue.
