Summer recess is almost over.
Each day that passes without action from our leaders, 33 more Americans are murdered with guns — including seven children.
As we gear up to send our kids back to school, we’re taking Congress Back to School on Background Checks by delivering seven backpacks to local congressional and Senate offices across the country. And those backpacks will be filled with petitions signed by supporters like you.
The seven backpacks we’ll deliver to members of Congress represent the seven American kids killed with guns every day. That’s the shockingly real price of allowing guns to be bought without background checks: seven kids who won’t live to see the new school year.
As a father, I can’t imagine the pain of losing a child. But it’s an ordeal that countless families have suffered — more than 8,000 just since the massacre at Newtown.
I’ve met many of these parents and families. They’ll do anything in their power to prevent other families from experiencing what they’ve been through.
And we’ll be right there with them.
Join us and sign your name to a petition demanding that Congress take action on background checks in the new legislative session:
We can get this done.
Thanks for your support,
