Boycott “Stand Your Ground” States
Published on Jul 24, 2013
The boycott against Stand Your Ground states is being used to push state legislators to join us in changing the unjust laws of these 20+ states in the US. On the 13th and 26th of every month people in those states will boycott and not make any purchases for those 24hrs. Of course that would be additional to people outside these states not traveling there for vacation purposes.
Lets face it, money talks! The national marches are great, but the marches aren’t hurting those on top in any way. We need a legislative change in these states so that cases like Trayvon Martin and Jordan Davis will not happen again. Boycotting against these states will get government officials to take our demands seriously.
I also want to touch base on the issue of police brutality and deaths caused by law enforcement. There is an issue of systematic racism in this country from neighborhood watchmen to our local police and its up to us to change that! Each week this page will feature stories of victims of Stand Your Ground violence of all walks of life, whether they be someone who was murdered or wrongfully charged. Stories of those who have been killed, profiled, and brutalized by law enforcement will also be featured.
This boycott is something that EVERYONE can participate in and really you’ll benefit from it by saving money! We’re asking those who are not in Stand Your ground states to participate as well. After all, George Zimmerman didn’t use Stand Your Ground as his defense and walked based off of the laws of self defense.
Please share this page with everyone and follow us on Facebook & Twitter for more updates and info on how to join the fight!

Boycott for Trayvon’s Law
Published on Sep 4, 2013
The NAACP has written Trayvon’s Law along with the Dream Defenders. It’s imperative that all groups continue to come together to make this boycott as effective as possible in order for this law to be passed!
Trayvon’s Law addresses the issues of racial profiling, police brutality, community watch groups, repealing stand your ground laws, as well as revising the self defense laws. An additional policy within this law is dismantling the school to prison pipeline this government has created.
On the 13th and 26th of every month, EVERYONE nationwide will participate in the boycott by not making purchases of any kind. No gas, no food, no social outtings… nothing!
Throughout the rest of the month we will target a Stand Your Ground State, boycotting their goods and tourist attractions. FLORIDA is up first!
This site is to direct those against the Stand Your Ground laws to boycott those 20+ states throughout the United States on the 13th and 26th of every month. On that day, people in those states will boycott and not make any purchases for those 24 hrs. If you’re not in a Stand Your Ground State feel free to participate as well. After all, the self defense laws that allowed George Zimmerman to walk free apply in all 50 states.
Lets face it, money talks! The national marches are great, but the marches aren’t hurting those on top in any way. We need a legislative change in these states so that cases like Trayvon Martin and Jordan Davis will not happen again. Boycotting against these states will get government officials to take our demands seriously and will push legislators to redefine the meaning of self defense.
On July 13th, we were all shocked by the verdict in the George Zimmerman trial. Only July 13th, America showed the world that racial profiling, gun violence, vigilantes, and systematic racism is accepted in this country. The only way these issues will change is if we change it. As you can see, the media has moved on as if it had never happened. Well, let’s give them something to talk about! The NAACP has written Trayvon’s Law along with the help of the Dream Defenders. This law addresses the issues of racial profiling, police brutality, community watch groups, repealing stand your ground laws, as well as revising the self defense laws. An additional policy within this law is dismantling the school to prison pipeline this government has created. All of these issues heavily impact the daily lives of African American’s as well as those of other ethnicites. It is up to us to change the unjust system that has proved itself to hurt, not help us.
HOW TO BOYCOTT
This is a simple task that everyone of every background can participate in. Again, on the 13th and 26th EVERYONE nationwide will participate in the boycott by not making purchases of any kind. No gas, no food, no social outtings… nothing! Imagine the impact it would have if everyone for 24 hrs didn’t spend a dime. During the rest of the month we will boycott goods from a Stand Your Ground state. Click on the STATES & PRODUCTS section to see which state and what goods the state produces. The state in red is the one we will focus on first until there is some legislative change. Then we will move on to the next on the list. Guess which state is up first?

Debbie Wasserman Schultz….
When you ask Americans about common-sense measures for reducing gun violence, like expanding background checks, they overwhelmingly support them. But instead of accepting that and working to find effective measures to improve gun safety, groups like the NRA accuse any legislator who supports these measures of “wanting to take away your guns.”
We saw the consequences of that strategy in Colorado on Tuesday, when two Democratic legislators who had supported basic measures to reduce gun violence lost unprecedented recall elections that were supported by special interests like the NRA and the Koch brothers.
The good news is that, ultimately, the NRA did not get what it wanted. The recall results will do nothing to change the Democratic control of the Colorado State House, Senate, and Governor’s office. And the common-sense gun laws that were passed by popular vote in Colorado will remain intact, making residents safer.
But even if special interests didn’t change the balance of power in Colorado, they still think they sent a message to leaders across the country who’d support measures to reduce gun violence.
You can send a message of your own. Chip in $10 or more to support Democrats today:
