White House Schedule – September 23, 2013
In the afternoon, the President will meet with President Goodluck Jonathan of Nigeria to discuss how we can strengthen our cooperation to advance transparent, democratic governance, expand trade and development, improve security, and create opportunities for youth and entrepreneurs. There will be a travel pool spray at the top of this meeting.
Later in the day, the President will host Heads of State, and representatives of civil society, multilateral organizations, and private foundations to explore ways to protect the critical role civil society plays from growing restrictions in a number of countries around the world. This event is open to pre-credentialed media.
In the evening, the President will participate in a USUN Mission meet and greet with employees and their families. This event is closed press.
Later in the evening, the President and First Lady will host a United Nations General Assembly reception. This event is closed press.
The President and the First Lady will remain overnight in New York City.

12:35 PM: The President and First Lady arrive New York City.
1:45 PM: The President holds a bilateral meeting with President Goodluck Jonathan of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
5:20 PM: Meets with USUN Mission employees and their families.
8:50 PM: The President and First Lady attend a reception for visiting Heads of State and Government.
