APOPKA, Fla. —George Zimmerman has been arrested in a domestic dispute involving his girlfriend, law enforcement said.
Zimmerman was arrested near the intersection of Topfield Court and Bonnie Drive in Apopka, reportedly at his girlfriend’s home. Chopper 2 video showed several Seminole County Sheriff’s vehicles at the home.
Deputies plan to release the arrest report and 911 call.

George Zimmerman was arrested this afternoon after Florida police responded to a disturbance call.
He’ll now be transported to the county jail in Seminole County.
George Zimmerman was arrested at approximately 1 p.m. Monday, according to the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office, whose deputies responded to a disturbance call in Apopka in Central Florida.
Zimmerman is currently being transported to the John E. Polk Correctional Facility in Sanford, Florida.
Sanford is the same city where Zimmerman shot and killed Trayvon Martin in February of 2012. He was later acquitted of second-degree murder in July 2013.

Channel 9 has confirmed George Zimmerman has been arrested on domestic violence charges inSeminole County on Monday.
The disturbance was at a residence on Topfield Court in unincorporated Apopka, although authorities haven’t said what exactly happened.
The Seminole County Sheriff’s Office said Zimmerman will be booked into the John E. Polk Correctional Facility.
No other details have been released.
George Zimmerman has been arrested and was en route to the Seminole County Jail, according to Sheriff Don Eslinger.
It’s not clear what happened or what crime he’s accused of committing, but just before 1:30 p.m., Eslinger confirmed that Zimmerman had been arrested today and was being driven to the county jail in Sanford.
He said more information would be available shortly.
WESH-Channel 2 reported that Zimmerman was accused of domestic violence by a girlfriend.
The Sheriff’s Office, in a short news release, reported that the agency had arrested Zimmerman after being called to a disturbance on Topfield Court in western Seminole County near Apopka.
