Gun Sense Voter: Momentum is building

Published on May 2, 2014

Moms, dads, survivors of gun violence, veterans, faith leaders, and gun owners have come together to launch the Gun Sense Voter project.

My son, Jordan Davis, was murdered with a gun. I live with that loss every day — but last week, I had the opportunity to join with hundreds of moms, survivors of gun violence, and other supporters in Indianapolis during the NRA convention.

Together, we brought our common-sense message directly to the NRA’s leadership, and spoke out on behalf of those who can no longer speak for themselves. It was so powerful to be surrounded by hundreds of other people who are committed to preventing any other mother from losing her child to gun violence.

Here’s a short video with highlights from the event — please watch and share it with your friends and family and help spread our message:

The stories in this video come from other parents who have lost children, survivors, and everyday Americans. They show that no one in this country is immune — and that our movement is strong and growing.

Coming together with so many people who are committed to ending gun violence in America has energized me for the future of the movement, and gives me hope that no other mothers will have to experience the pain that I do.

Please share this video with your friends and family, and urge them to join our cause:

  3. Isn’t amazing, even within my own family there are people who don’t understand this? Who will fight me tooth and nail on this issue despite my own experience as a gun violence victim. I am always amazed by this. Nevertheless, posting the video and let them come.

    • Them are dumbasses, if it were me, and good for them it’s not, they would never approach me with this dumbfuckery, after the first time.
