  1. I am glad you added the beautifully done video to this. It is perfectly executed.

    • Yeah, sometimes my lack of patience comes to the surface, instead of doing video and then doing post, I did post without video then added video later…thats my down fall, no patience, I get an idea and run with it, then have to improve it later which is double work if you think about it.

  2. Thank you for posting, JB. We have to reverse the psychology when it comes to what we teach our girls versus what we teach our boys. I’m a supporter of an organization called A Long Walk Home, that more than sheds light on rape and sexual assault, but more importantly, does the important work of helping heal the girls affected by these injustices. We teach girls to cover up, don’t wear this, wear that, reinforcing the “shame” factor. We don’t similarly disempower boys in their language of permissiveness and complicity when it comes to their microagressions toward girls, then women. They are excused for mistreating girls and women who they’ve been taught “had it coming to them”. The dichotomy is startling; the eradication of rape and sexual abuse begins with how we educate both boys and girls regarding their bodies — temples not to be abused by anyone for any reason. No = No.

  3. :) … I am strong enough …

  4. Reblogged this on Kira's Corner and commented:
    I have nothing to add…

  5. Thank you for using this one, for bringing it forward. It is a hard one. The stories are hard. I have blogged about this one and used it in telling my own story. It always makes my heart hurt. But it is a good framework for victims to stand up and tell their stories in a non-threatening way, to be heard.

    • I plan to make a video this evening, using the images, it will be work intensive going thru them all and choosing the images that are big enough to be seen on a video slid show format, I tried to make a quick one to include in this post but it needed a lot more time & work to be right. Later I will make a real attempt to make a video for these humans who have been treated like animals.
