Happy Mother’s Day. Hold your children extra close every chance you get. Bask in their smiles.
There have been nearly four thousand gun related deaths since Newtown. Too many mothers are spending too much time talking to their children in heaven instead of across the kitchen table. We draw support from the tens of thousands of letters and cards we’ve received from those of you who stand with us. We are emboldened by the courage of victims like Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, who have committed their lives to achieve meaningful change. We soldier on, because like all movements, there are tipping points, and we believe this is ours. It is time, as six-year-old Ana Marquez-Greene once said, to “let love win.” There are 150 million parents in this country and it’s our goal to unite them in a place of common ground. This is the Sandy Hook Promise.
This Mother’s Day, we encourage you to make the Sandy Hook Promise with us. Today is not about guns, laws or politics; it is about mothers and love.
As “Sandy Hook Moms,” we often hear the phrase “I can’t imagine what you are going through.” Well, please imagine it. Imagine what it’s like to lose a son or daughter to gun violence and encourage your elected officials to do the same. We never thought our school, our community or these innocent children would ever face the unspeakable. The more we as parents expand the boundaries of our love beyond our family and to all children, the more likely a tragedy like the one that broke our hearts will never happen again.
To join us in making the Sandy Hook Promise, please visit: Sandy Hook Promise
I Promise to do everything I can to encourage and support common sense solutions that make my community and our country safer from similar acts of violence.
CNN’sMartin Savidge investigates how easy it is to buy guns without showing any ID or filling out a single form.
Yes CNN did an illegal purchase out of state and purchased several illegal guns illegally, TO SHOW YOU DUMBASSES THAT IT HAPPENS AT MOST, IF NOT ALL, GUN SHOWS.
The purpose, for you to stupid to comprehend and who are screaming that CNN committed illegal actions, is that this “loop hole” needs to be closed.

VERY SPECIAL TRIBUTE: Newtown VICTIMS and HEROS that GAVE THEIR LIVES to protect them MUST SEE!
Published on Dec 16, 2012
Apologies to Rachel D’Avino family. While compiling video I waited until I had a photo of Rachel and was happy to see one included in a report. It appears to be incorrect as well as the spelling of her name which I have tried to correct.
I created the video Sat/Sun while there was little info on the victims and very few photos available. The effort was worthwhile to me. I hope it is to others also.
Each week, like many presidents before me, I sit down to record a short address to the nation. It’s something I take very seriously because it offers a chance to bring focus to an issue that needs to be part of the national dialogue.
But today, I’ve asked someone to take my place.
Francine Wheeler is a mother. She and her family live in Newtown, Connecticut. Four months ago, her six year-old son Ben was murdered in his elementary school, along with 19 other children and six brave educators.
Joined by her husband David, Francine shares her perspective about the steps we can take to reduce gun violence and prevent the kind of tragedy she understands all too well.
This week’s address is delivered by Francine Wheeler, whose six year old son, Ben, was murdered alongside nineteen other children and six educators in Newtown, Connecticut, four months ago. Now, Francine — joined by her husband David — is asking the American people to help prevent this type of tragedy from happening to more families like hers.
This week, because people like Francine and like you got involved, the U.S. Senate took a step forward on commonsense reforms to reduce gun violence.
And that’s good. Because this shouldn’t be about politics. This is about doing the right thing for families that have been torn apart by gun violence, and for all our families going forward.
But we’ve got a lot of work to do before Congress finishes the job.
So if you believe that we can take sensible steps to protect more of our kids from gun violence and protect our Second Amendment rights, stand up and join us.
Thank you Mr. President, for an unprecedented approach to COMMON SENSE Gun Reform legislation.
While most of Washington D.C. (especially our 113th Congress) runs around taking an ungodly number of “breaks”, you Mr. President, work diligently to get America’s agenda accomplished.
Thank you From the bottom of my heart for your hard work.

The Business Of Guns

The firearms industry generates roughly $32 billion in revenue every year, $10 billion more than the Ford Motor Company — and employs 98,000 people, five times more than Google Inc.
The Business of Guns
Gun manufacturing and sales is big business in the United States — as it turns out, one of the biggest.
In terms of gun ownership, the U.S. is the runaway global leader. There are nearly nine firearms for every 10 American citizens; this proportion is 40% higher than that of Yemen, which ranks second in the world for gun ownership.
Every year, nearly 9 million firearms enter the U.S. market. 5.5 million guns are manufactured domestically, and roughly 95% are eventually sold to Americans. An additional 3.2 million firearms are imported into the U.S. and sold through licensed firearms dealers. Currently there are more than 130,000 of these licensed dealers in the country; to put that number in perspective, the U.S. is also home to 144,000 gas stations, 36,500 grocery stores, and 14,000 McDonald’s restaurants.
Want more comparisons? The firearms industry generates roughly $32 billion in revenue every year — $10 billion more than the Ford Motor Company — and employs 98,000 people, five times more than Google Inc. Furthermore, the gun industry is continuing to grow at an astonishing rate. Connecticut-based Sturm, Ruger & Co., the country’s fourth largest firearm manufacturer, recorded a $180 million increase in revenue since 2004.
The controlled study documented in these videos show that concealed carry permit holders are fooling themselves if they think they will be able to react effectively to armed aggressors. Most CCW holders won’t even be able to un-holster their gun. They will more likely be killed themselves or kill innocent bystanders than stop the aggressor. For more details, see “Unintended Consequences: Pro-Handgun Experts Prove That Handguns Are a Dangerous Choice for Self-Defense.”http://www.vpc.org/studies/unincont.htm.
CCW permit holders don’t protect innocent people. They kill them.

Shooting down anti gun control theories proposed by NRA Gun Nuts
Published on Dec 15, 2012
Since the Sandy Hook school shootings in Newtown Connecticut there has been a lot of talk from pro gun NRA zombies. In this video I attempt to destroy the myths that they depend on and the theories they propose to be against gun control.
Heated Debate on Gun Control after Connecticut Mass Shooting – Piers Morgan
This is NOT funny. Gun violence needs to be stopped and all guns need to be outlawed. If the NRA doesn’t like it, that’s too bad. They don’t champion rights or freedom. But they do champion absurdities. The second amendment needs to be changed or completely abolished. Without guns, a lot less people will die due to horrific violence. Examples are the Sandy Hook Elementary School and Columbine High School massacre shootings. These would have never have been able to have taken place, to wreck such havoc with such a high body count, without the use of guns and these mass murderers know this. Lets stop the insanity please. Various topics are discussed in this video.

Calling the Second Amendment a “Doomsday Provision” is an act of genius demonstrating a grasp on the subject that many of us, as born Americans, fail to understand.
