Later in the morning, the President will attend and deliver remarks at the National Memorial Service for Former South African President Nelson Mandela. The First Lady will also attend the service at First National Bank Stadium in Johannesburg, South Africa. This event is open to pre-credentialed media.
In the evening, the President, the First Lady and the traveling delegation will depart Johannesburg, South Africa en route Washington, D.C. The departure from the Waterkloof Air Force Base is open press.

On December 9th, the White House will host a Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) event. The Council on EnvironmentalQuality will work with the Department of Energy to highlight best practices, innovative technologies developed by WAP, impacts on skills training and job creation, and the relationship between WAP and the private sector.
